Coming Out

I have hinted to this in the past, but have always been nervous about coming clean. However fairweatherrunner mentioned it the other day, so now I am out…I like running to the BeeGees, oh and the Three Degrees. Some might feel I need treatment, but it takes me back 30 odd years, and makes my legs feel a bit younger.

Today was the third week of Janathon, I have tried to ‘up’ my mileage a little each week, so 5.3km was staggered in the predawn mildness this morning. Slow, 5 mins off my times 6 months ago, but injuries take time to come back from, but back I am coming… and the BeeGees are with me every step.

Bee Gees are great, saw them a Wembley :) and btw, I have Abba on my playlist :)
Well done on your mileage, how many miles so far?

  3. Ah ha ha ha Stayin alive!
Well it’s certainly my secret! Haven’t found much else that’s so upbeat and works to keep me running!
Keep it up, carful with pushing the miles you’ve got to finish what you started!

I like a bit of an anthem to see me through the difficult stages, ‘Empire State of Mind’ is mine, got me to the end of Brighton Marathon (though I always hear ‘Big leeks will inspire you’ after that spoof version :)

OOOh I love running to the beegees – and also The beach boys! Yay to old old old skoool!

  6. There’s nothing wrong with an embarassing playlist (says the woman who was spurred on to the finish line at Folkestone by Dolly Parton).

And at least if you’ve got Stayin Alive in your head, you’ll be in a state of constant readiness for doing CPR…

  7. [...] at the moment, but it wasn’t to be. I put on some music to see me though, a weekend treat. Susan has been talking this week about what she listens to whilst running, and really shouldn’t [...]
